My late mother Mirra Meyer, who passed away in April, spent much of the 1970s and 1980s developing batik as a modern art form, while also doing important work in several other media. We're delighted to announce her first solo exhibit in decades, at the Michael Parsons Gallery in downtown Portland.
We had a good opening reception so we think we'll do it again. Please also join us for a "one week before closing" reception at the gallery, Saturday, August 24 at 1:30 PM. The show is open now and runs through the end of August.
The gallery at 716 SW Madison St, and is open 12-5 PM Tuesday through Saturday.
