Interesting post. When i visited Montreal at the beginning of June, I found it highly photographable, but then I'm most interested in the up-close stuff. I'm sorry i didn't hear about that island, though - sounds great! I love ruins. The only Expo site I've visited was in Osaka, twenty years ago. It hadn't been abandoned, but it did have a very forlorn air, out on the edge of the city - the aging leftovers from a very expensive party.
